About the ASEAN Architect Register (AAR)
The ASEAN Architect (AA) is a professional designation for architects who have complied with the requirements of the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) on Architectural Services. This framework facilitates the mobility of professional architects within the ASEAN region, promoting the exchange of information and expertise.
Objectives
- To promote the professional mobility of architects within the ASEAN member states.
- To set transparent, objective, and fair criteria for registration as an ASEAN Architect.
- To provide a framework for mutual recognition between professional regulatory authorities in the region.
Registration Process
Architects seeking to be listed in the ASEAN Architect Register must meet specific criteria, including a minimum of ten years of professional experience, with at least five years of practice in responsible charge of significant architectural works.
